This is kind of a driving tune, it sounds like views of the outside world blurring past your car window on Sunday's drive – maybe leaving a place you are glad to see in your rearview or perhaps evoking the thrill of making your way somewhere new.

The porch, while (mostly) stationary, only offers this view in hindsight, through photographs and sounds which smear forgotten gestures into the hazy contrails of memory.

In Walter Benjamin's biography the authors when describing his youthful ideas that inform Benjamin's famous ideas on history, wrote:

"What we do think, he says, is filled with the being of our ancestors –which, having passed away, becomes futural, Each day, like sleepers, we use "unmeasured energies" of the self-renewing past. Sometimes, on awaking, we recall the dream and carry its spectral energies "into the brightness of the day." In this way, the waking fortifies itself with dreaming, and "rare shafts of insight" illuminate the layered depths of the present."
